GoFullPage vs Pulse Extractor

Both capture a whole webpage in Chrome. GoFullPage is a dedicated, very widely used screenshot tool. Pulse captures too, and then turns what is on the page into Excel, Word and editable text. Here is where each one fits.

Short answer

Choose GoFullPage if a picture of the whole page is all you need: it is a focused, long-established capture extension that also saves JPEG. Choose Pulse Extractor when the page holds something you need to work with, a table for Excel, text inside an image, or a document you need to edit, because capture is one of several things it does with the same page.

Using both

Many people keep a dedicated screenshot extension for quick captures and use Pulse when a page holds data or text they need to reuse. The two do not conflict.

How this comparison was made

We read GoFullPage's own public pages and store listing on and restated only what they say, in our own words, with a link to each source. We did not test GoFullPage, so its column reports its claims, not our measurements. Products change: check the sources before you decide, and tell us if something here is out of date.

Questions

Is Pulse Extractor a GoFullPage clone?

No. Pulse is a separate product from a separate company. Full-page capture is one of its features; most of what it does is turn the page into structured, editable output.

Which one is better for a very long page?

Both are built to capture long ordinary pages. GoFullPage also states that it handles inner scrollable elements; Pulse captures such a panel whole with Scrollception. If inner panels are your main need, test both on your page.

Can Pulse save a full-page screenshot as JPG?

No. Capture Full Page saves PNG or a multi-page PDF. If you need JPEG specifically, GoFullPage lists it, or convert the PNG with any image editor.
