Best for: One-click full-page capture to PNG, JPEG or PDF. People who want a fast, reliable full-page screenshot of the page in front of them, with light editing.

  • Captures the whole current page by scrolling and stitching, started from the toolbar icon or Alt+Shift+P.[1]
  • Exports to PNG, JPEG or PDF in several paper sizes, or copies to the clipboard.[2]
  • States that it handles complex pages, including inner scrollable elements and embedded iframes.[3]

FireShot

Best for: Batch capture and link-preserving PDFs. People who capture pages often and want many destinations (PDF with links, images, email, print, OneNote) and batch capture.

  • Captures the entire page, the visible part or a selection, and saves PDF, PNG or JPEG in the free version.[4]
  • Can capture all open tabs, or a supplied list of URLs, in an automatic batch.[5]

Awesome Screenshot

Best for: Recording plus screenshots, shared by link. People who capture and record their screen to explain something: bug reports, demos, tutorials and quick shared links.

  • Combines a screen recorder (desktop, tab or camera, with microphone and webcam) and a screenshot tool in one extension.[7]
  • Captures a full page, a selected area or the visible part of a webpage, and also the entire screen or an app window.[8]
  • Saves screenshots as PNG, JPG or PDF, or to an online account with a shareable link, and sends them to Jira, Slack, Trello, Asana or GitHub.[9]

Best for: Whole-site screenshot ZIPs with frames and stamps. QA, design, marketing and compliance teams who capture and mark up many pages and want whole-site screenshot exports.
