Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pulse Extractor ("Pulse", "we", "us") handles information when you use our browser extension and this website. We wrote it to be plain and specific about what actually happens, not a generic template.

What Pulse does with webpage content

Pulse is a user-initiated tool. It does not run in the background, and it does not monitor, scan, or collect information from pages you browse unless you actively click to extract the page you are currently viewing. Each extraction is a single, deliberate action on one page — never a list of pages, a whole website, or your browsing history.

When you extract a page, Pulse reads the content of that page to organize it into structured data (for example, a person's role and company, or a company's description and services) for you to view, copy, or export. Some of this processing happens locally in your browser. For results that benefit from more advanced processing, a small, bounded portion of the page's content may be securely sent to our servers for that single request. We do not send your full browsing history, other open tabs, or unrelated page content — only what is needed to complete the extraction you asked for.

Account information

If you create a Pulse account, we store the minimum information needed to operate it: your email address, an authentication credential, and a record of your credit balance and usage. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not request unnecessary personal information.

What we do not do

Data retention

We aim to retain as little as necessary. Metadata about your usage (such as which mode was used, whether a request succeeded, and basic timing) may be kept for billing accuracy and service reliability. Raw page content is not permanently stored beyond what is needed to deliver your result.

Payments

If you purchase credits, payment is handled by our payment processor, who acts as merchant of record and processes your payment details directly. Pulse does not receive or store your card details.

Children's privacy

Pulse is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pulse after a change means you accept the updated policy.
